Congratulations to the team that puts together Waitrose Food Illustrated, bagging the ‘One Step Beyond’ award for John Brown at the 2008 Waitrose Supplier Awards – the only marketing supplier to receive such recognition at the awards this year. Waitrose Food Illustrated was ‘head and shoulders’ above other supermarket customer magazines, said Waitrose’s Commercial Director, Richard Hodgson.

Save Our Bacon – update

Restaurants across the UK are joining forces to mark Save Our Bacon National Restaurant Week (28 April–4 May). From top London venues such as The Ivy and St John to country pubs and local cafés, hundreds of chefs are putting special British pork dishes on their menus. This initiative is part of WFI’s Save Our Bacon campaign, which highlights the problems facing UK pig farmers, who currently lose an average of £26 per pig they sell.
